Program Data

 

The Make Startups Program tracks multiple data points to monitor program performance, entrepreneur outcomes, and community and economic impacts. We use this data to work with financial institutions to maintain assessment quality and make capital access vehicles available for program graduates, and to provide financial aid providers with performance metrics.

Student Qualification

About 24% of students accepted into Make Startups programs received financial assistance through workforce development and veteran aid programs in 2021.

 

Student Demographics

Make Startups programs are designed to remove barriers for disadvantaged entrepreneurs. Our 2021 students included 100% Entrepreneurs of color, 83% women Led Businesses, and 25% Veteran Entrepreneurs.


100% Business License Attainment Rate

A key aspect of the Make Startups program is working on an actual business, not just business theory. Business License attainment is required for graduation, and 100% of our students in 2021 succeeded in getting a license for their business.

 

Average Entrepreneur Time to Revenue

The first step to employment and wages is customer attainment. Make Startups programs prioritize quickly finding market fit and establishing early revenues to avoid unnecessary debt. over 80% of entrepreneurs reported revenue within 6 months of class start.
